Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Respite Provider for a high needs, non-verbal, non-mobile child. In this role, you will work closely with the child and their family to provide support and care during designated respite periods.

Responsibilities:

• Engage the child in activities that are stimulating, enjoyable, and tailored to their interests and needs.
• Provide personal care assistance, including feeding, toileting, and grooming, as required.
• Monitor the child's safety and well-being at all times, ensuring a secure environment.
• Implement strategies provided by the child's caregivers or therapists to support their development and communication.
• Maintain open communication with the child's family, caregivers, and any other professionals involved in their care.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those who are non-verbal and non-mobile.
• Knowledge of best practices in caring for individuals with diverse abilities and communication styles.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with families and other team members.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Background check and references may be required.
